The Great Food Fight of 2007 (Food Drive)
Regina shattered its own Guinness World Record for the most food collected in a 24 hour period during the Great Food Fight of 2007 on October 12th and 13th. Regina established the current World Record by collecting 100.257 tons of food last October and this year shattered that mark by bringing in 151.45 tons. However, it wasn’t enough to fend off the challenge from Winnipeg who were also attempting to break the existing World Record. Thank you to all of Regina for making this possible. BNI Gala
BNI is a local business networking group with 7 chapters. BNI is holding its 2nd annual formal Gala fundraiser on Friday, October 26 at the Delta Regina hotel, with a Masquerade theme. The evening includes dinner, a casino, silent auction and a celebrity photo booth. Tickets are $69 each and can be purchased by contacting Steve Compton. 350 people are expected to attend. All proceeds from the casino night, photo booth and the silent auction will go to the Food Bank.
