We are engaged in creating a unique facility. The Community Services Village houses a renewed Regina & District Food Bank along with other organizations that share a common vision. Together, we are creating an integrated sustainable centre for meeting social needs, building independent lives and strengthening families. It is a solution-oriented model for improving people’s lives and building greater hope in our community.

The demand for Food Bank services increases every year.  We currently serve Regina and more than 80 communities in the Regina area. In addition to the need for food, we see increasing child poverty, family despair and alienation from the community.  Food Bank clients need food first, but many are searching for a way out of the cycle of poverty and dependence.

In past years the Food Bank had begun to meet that need with skills training and other services. With a major gift of buildings and property, we are making a leap forward.  The development of the Community Services Village provides an opportunity to address additional needs with skills training programs, literacy programs, educational support and other services.
